The Paris -Lamar County Board of Health held a special session on Tuesday, June
1St, 2021.

1. Convene into Open Session
• Dr. Marc White called the meeting to order in open session at 5:32 p.m.
2. Approval of Minutes from prior meeting(s).
• Nancy Stallings made a motion and was seconded by Mitzie Pirtle to
approve the 04-19-2021 minutes. Motion carried. 4 yays, 0 nays.
3. Discuss and possible act on:
• TIPS Resolution - Dr. Marc White and Gina Prestridge signed an
agreement/resolution to participate in The Interlocal Purchasing
Cooperative (TIPS) offered by Region VIII Education Service Center.
• Budget - FY22 proposed budget of $1,859,534 was presented to the
board for approval. Dr. Walker Putnam made a motion and was
seconded by Mitzie Pirtle. Motion carried. 4 yays, 0 nays.
• DSRIP Updates - Mrs. Prestridge is applying for a grant and will
renovate the health district building. Mitzie Pirtle made a motion and
was seconded by Dr. Walker Putnam to apply for the grant and to give
the nursing staff and executive director a 3% stipend bonus. Motion
carried. 4 yays, 0 nays.
• Board Vacancy - Nancy Stallings term will end on June 30th and Dr. Jay
Carpenter will be resigning and moving out-of-town during the month of
June.

5. Adjourn meeting - Dr. Walker Putnam made the motion and was seconded by
Mitzie Pirtle for the meeting to be adjourned at 5:55 p.m. Motion carried. 4
ayes, 0 nays.

At the September 9th, 2021 Board of Health Meeting, Mitzie Pirtle made the motion and was seconded by Dr. Ross
Williams for the PLCHD board approved June 1St, 2021 minutes to be submitted to the City Clerk in the City Hall Annex,
located at 150 S.E. 1St Street, Paris, Texas, for filing. Motion carried 5 ayes and 0 nays.
