WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did
heretofore on the 9th day of September, 1985 pass and adopt
Resolution No. 85-079 authorize the procurement of
Right-of-way and temporary easements for a project of
construction of a 45 foot paved street, measured from back
to back of concrete curb with related facilities, utilities
and other appurtenances on Collegiate Drive described in two
segments, the first segment being from a point approximately
70 feet South of the center line of the South lane of Loop
286 N, E., Southerly 460.2 feet to the North boundary line
of Lot 2, Block 3, Town North Estates; and the second
segment being from a point approximately 5 feet North of the
South property line of Lot 20, Block 2 Town North Estates,
Southerly 2939 feet to the North edge of the pavement of
Lamar Ave.; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did
thereafter, on the 13th day of January, 1986 pass and adopt
Resolution No. 86-009 which changed the descriptions of some
of the parcels needed for the proj ect, and, in particular,
parcel number 27 which appeared as Exhibit Number 27 to
Resolution No. 85-079 and a part of Exhibit A to Resolution
No. 86-009 which parcel number 27 has been re-described
reflecting a further relocation of a portion of the
right-of-way adj acent to the property owned by Blankinship
Oil Company which is designated as Lot 2, City Block 286;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the above
described parcel for Right-of-Way as shown on Exhibit A
attached hereto is necessary for said improvement project
and that the same should be condemned; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the City Attorney, T. K, Haynes, be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to proceed to condemn the
property described in Exhibit A attached hereto to be used
for Collegiate Drive Improvement project from Loop 286 N, E,
South to Lamar Ave.
Passed and adopted this 10th day of March, 1986.

Being a part of a 0.450 acre tract (Second Tract) of land, same being Lot 2
in Block 286, situated in the George W. Cox Survey, Abst. No. 164, conveyed by
O. N. Pederson and wife, Nell Pederson, to Blankinship Oil Company by deed dated
the 30th day of December. 1968, recorded in Vol. 508, Page 69-71 of Deed Records
of Lamar County, Texas;
BEGINNING at a point, said point being the northeast corner of said
Blankinship tract, said point being an inside ell corner of an original 2,039
acre tract of land owned by World Christian Center, said point being S 880 09' E
a distance of 4.5 feet from proposed centerline survey station 58+96.4 of pro-
posed Collegiate Drive, said point also being S 880 09' E a distance of 195.0
feet from the existing northwest corner of said Blankinship lot;
THENCE S 000 07' W along the Blankinship-World Christian Center common
boundary line a distance of 104.8 feet, ^ point, said point being the existing
southeast corner of said Blankinship tract, said point being an outside ell
corner of said World Christian Center tract, said point being in the existing
north right-of-way line of existing Lamar Avenue;
THENCE N 870 43' W along the Blankinship-Lamar Avenue common boundary line
a distance of 62.8 feet, at 27.2 feet passing through proposed centerline survey
station 60+02.70 of proposed Collegiate Drive, a point;
THENCE N 120 27' E a distance of 106.0 feet, a point, said point being in
the north boundary line of said Blankinship tract, said point being in a south
boundary line of said World Christian Center tract;
THENCE S 880 09' E along the Blankinship-World Christian Center common
boundary line a distance of 40.1 feet, at 35.6 feet passing through proposed
centerline survey station 58+96.4 of proposed Collegiate Drive, to the place of
beginning and containing 0.124 acres, more or less.
EXHIBIT "A"
