1986-021-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, in Resolution No, 85-025, award the
RESOLUTION NO.
86-022
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did
heretofore, in Resolution No, 85-025, award the contract for
the 1985 Master Pump Station Rehabilitation Project to
Heritage Constructors, Inc,; and,
WHEREAS, Black & Veatch, Project Engineer of said
project recommends the amendment of said contract by Change
Order No. 1 attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the 1985 Master Pump Station Rehabilitation
Proj ect contract is hereby amended by Change Order No, 1
attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and the Mayor of the City of
Paris, George Fisher, Jr" is hereby authorized and directed
on behalf of the City of Paris to execute said change order,

1985 MASTER PUMP STATION 1
REHABILITATION PROJECT
CHANGE ORDER NO. 1
I. SCOPE, This Change Order No, 1 provides for the deletion of the
screening equipment in the wetwell.
II, REASON FOR CHANGE. Vhen the wetwell was drawn down for installation of
the screen the-Invert elevation of the 30 inch sewer was lower than expected.
The sewer invert was actually at the top of the concrete fillet. In order to
install the screen major demolition of the fillet would be required.' Also,
with the pipe being lower in the wetwell, the basket would be completely
submerged, allowing floatables to enter the wetwell. Since full advantage of
the screenging device can not be recognized, it is recommended that it be
deleted,
III. BASIS FOR CHANGE. Due to the above change, the Contract Amount shall
be decreased as-follows:
