1986-112-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore in Resolution 85-017 direct that Ark-Tex
RESOLUTION NO. 86-112
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did
heretofore in Resolution 85-017 direct that Ark-Tex Council
of Governments shall no longer administer or make applica-
tion for housing programs that can be administered by the
Housing Authority of the City of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it
to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris that any
prohibition against Ark-Tex Council of Governments adminis-
tering Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments Programs within
the corporate limits of the City of Paris be repealed; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That Ark-Tex Council of Governments is hereby
authorized and invited to make application for and
administer Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments Program
Existing Housing within the corporate limits of the City of
Paris and any prohibition thereof is hereby repealed; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Mattie Cunningham, City
Clerk of the City of Paris, be, and she is hereby authorized
and directed to transmit a certified copy of this Resolution
to Ark-Tex Council of Governments.
