1986-109-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, in Resolution No. 86-001, award the
RESOLUTION NO. 86-109
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did
heretofore, in Resolution No. 86-001, award the contract for
construction of Additions to Water Treatment Plant to
Heritage Constructor's, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering, John Buss,
recommends the amendment of said contract by Change Order
No. 5 attached hereto as Exhibit "A", which provides for a
net increase in contract price of $3,036.00 to a total of
$3,077,255.00 with no increase in contract time, for the
removal of concrete at the footings of the existing filters
which interfered with installation of the new filter drain
pipings, as described in the contractor's letter of
September 18, 1986; installation of reinforcing steel dowel
bars for connection of the new filter gallery wall to the
existing structure, as described in the contractor's letter
of August 15, 1986; addition of a 5 degree grade adaptor in
the 33-Inch Water Main to allow crossing the existing
20-inch main at the South end of the plant site, as
described in the contractor's letter of August 11, 1986;
removal of buried concrete slab located West of Maxey Plant,
as described in the contractor's letter of September l8,
1986; deletion of handrail at the new rapid mix and blending
tanks and modification and installation of the handrail
material at the new filters, as described in the
contractor's letter of September 18, 1986; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the contract for Additions to the Water
Treatment Plant is hereby amended by Change Order No. 5
attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and the Mayor of the City of
Paris, Billy Joe Burnett, is hereby authorized and directed,
on behalf of the City of Paris, to execute said Change
Order.
