WHEREAS, the City of Paris, Paris, Texas has caused to
be published on the 31st day of July, 17th day of August and
the 14th day of September, 1986 in its officially designated
newspaper the notice of its intent to enter into an Amend-
ment to Cooperation Agreement with the Housing Authority of
the City of Paris, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, 60 days or more have elapsed since the date of
the first publication of said Notice, with no petition for
election being filed in accordance with the Housing Coop-
eration Law of Texas; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, as follows:
1. That the Amendment to Cooperation Agreement
between the City of Paris, Paris, Texas and the
Housing Authority of the City of Paris, Texas, in
the form attached hereto as Exhibit A, is hereby
approved;
2. That the Mayor of the City of Paris, Billy Joe
Burnett, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute said Amendment and the Assis-
tant City Clerk, Joe McCollum of the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas is hereby authorized and
directed to seal and attest said Amendment in the
name of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
This agreement entered into the 30th day of September,
1986 by and between the Housing Authority of the City of
Paris, Texas, hereinafter called "Local Authority", acting
by and through its Chairman, Clovis C. Graves, duly au-
thorized, and the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, hereinafter
called "City", acting by and through its Mayor, Billy Joe
Burnett, duly authorized, do agree as follows:
That Section 1 (a) of the Contract dated March 7, 1950,
between the Housing Authority of the City of Paris, Texas
and the City of Paris, Texas be amended to read as follows:
"The term 'Project' shall mean any low-rent
Housing hereafter developed as one operation by the
Local Authority with financial assistance of the PHA
and included within Program Reservation No. TEX-48-A
issued by the PHA to the Local Authority on January 13,
1950, covering an aggregate program reservation for 358
units of low-rent housing,"
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City and Local Authority have
respectively caused this agreement to be duly executed as of
the day and year first above written,
