1986-096-RES WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Paris has furnished to the City Council at special session
RESOLUTION NO.

WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Paris has
furnished to the City Council at special session convened on
the 28th day of July, 1986, the City Manager's proposed
budget including the Revenue Share Fund Budget as directed
by Section 45 of the Charter; and,
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 50 of
a public hearing was held on August 12, 1986
Manager's proposed budget and on August 26,
Revenue Share Fund Budget; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is
recommending changes which require inserting additional
items and increasing certain items of appropriation; and,

WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 51 of the Charter,
notice must be published setting forth the nature of
proposed increases and setting a public hearing thereon;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council did heretofore in Resolution
86-095 set September 22, 1986 as the date for said public
hearing, which date does not allow sufficient time for
notice and it is necessary that said date be changed; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriate time for said public hearing is
found to be September 25, 1986 at 5:15 o'clock p.m.; and,
WHEREAS, notice of said public hearing should be given
by the City Clerk of the City of Paris by publishing notice
of such public hearing at least seven (7) working days prior
to the date of such hearing; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That a public hearing is called for the 25th day of
September, 1986, at 5: 15 P.M. in the Council Room, City
Hall, 135 First S. E. Street, Paris, Texas, for the purpose
of hearing written and oral comment from the citizens of the
City of Paris concerning amendments to the City Manager's
proposed annual budget including the Revenue Share Fund
Budget for the fiscal year 1987-88; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the City
of Paris publish notice of said public hearing setting forth
the time and place of said public hearing at least seven (7)
working days prior to such public hearing.
