1986-086-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is acutely aware of the desirability and need for public air RESOLUTION NO. 86-086 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is acutely aware of the desirability and need for public air transportation between Cox Field, Paris, Texas and DFW airport; and, WHEREAS, the lowest bidder and, in the City of Paris' independent determination, the best bidder for service to Paris, Texas was Altus Airlines; and, WHEREAS, the matter of air transportation for Paris, Texas is pending in Service Analysis Division I of the Department of Transportation; and, WHEREAS, it would be right and proper for said division to expeditiously make its determination in order that service to Paris, Texas may be instituted as early as possible; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That Service Analysis Division I of the Department of Transportation be, and it is hereby urges to expeditiously select the low bidder, Altus Airlines, for public air service to Cox Field, Paris, Texas. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Senator Phil Gramm and Congressman Jim Chapman. Passed and adopted this 26th day of August, 1986.
