WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at
its regular meeting on April 14, 1986 in Resolution 86-035
approve the advertisement for bids for furnishing plant,
labor, materials and equipment and performing all work
required for the construction of Drainage Improvement in the
1300-1400 blocks of 34th Street N.E., which bids were
received until 10:00 o'clock A.M., Wednesday, May 7, 1986;
and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction was made by
B. Bray Construction Co" Inc" POBox 517, Paris, Texas
75460 and it should be awarded the bid for such con-
struction; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract for such construction
proj ect is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form
should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the Bid of B. Bray Construction Co" Inc. in the
amount of $29,192.00 for Alternate A-1 and Alternate A-2, is
hereby accepted and let conditioned upon said contractor
meeting all of the terms and specifications included in the
bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, Billy Joe Burnett, be, and he is hereby authorized
and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the
contract for Drainage Improvement in the 1300-1400 block of
34th Street N. E., upon the terms and conditions and in the
form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, with B. Bray
Construction Co., Inc.
