SUBJECT: Public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of Bailey Asay
on behalf of Thou Chan for a change in zoning from a One -Family Dwelling
District No. 2 (SF -2) to a Multiple -Family Dwelling District No. 1 (MF -1) in the
City of Paris, Block 257-A, Lot N PT 3, located at 2340 E Cherry Street- LCAD
18177.

BACKGROUND
At its meeting on March 7, 2022, the Planning and Zoning Commission tabled this item at the
request of the applicant pending the applicant's filing a new petition. When the City receives the
new application, it will re -advertise and re -notice the item for public hearing at a future meetings
of the Commission and of the City Council.
RECOMMENDATION
The City Council cannot act on this petition because the Commission has not made a
recommendation. Since the applicant will be filing a new petition, staff recommends that the
Council pass over this item without necessity of conducting a public hearing or taking any action.
