1985-017-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris
RESOLUTION NO. 85-017
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it
to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris that its
Section 882 - Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments Program
Existing Housing, be administered by the Housing Authority
of the City of Paris for all such programs being
administered within the corporate limits of the City of
Paris; and,
WHEREAS, the previous agreement with Ark-Tex Council of
Governments should be dissolved; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the Housing Authority of the City of Paris be,
and it is hereby designated as the manager for all housing
programs that are within its power to administer; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Ark-Tex Council of
Governments shall no longer administer or make application
for housing programs that can be administered by the Housing
Authority of the City of Paris, and therefore, any and all
agreements with Ark-Tex Council of Governments and the City
of Paris for the administration of housing programs is
dissolved and declared to be null and void; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Clerk of the City
of Paris will transmit a certified copy of this Resolution
to Ark-Tex Council of Governments.
