1985-034-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at its regular meeting on January 14, 1985, approve
RESOLUTION NO. 85-034
~VHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at
its regular meeting on January 14, 1985, approve the adver-
tisement for bids for furnishing all plant, labor and
materials, necessary for the complete installation of an
aluminum and glass entrance (Door No.1), all interior fixed
glass panels, replacement of certain existing window units,
and the replacement of certain broken glass lights on the
building exterior for the City Hall Annex project, entitled
Glass and Glazing Work, which bids were received until 10:00
o'clock A.M., Tuesday, April 30, 1985; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction was made by
Mike Taylor, d/b/a Charles Taylor Glass Shop, 807 24th S. E.
Street Paris, Texas 75460, and he should be awarded the bid
for such construction; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract for such construction
project is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form
should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the Bid of Mike Taylor, d/b/a Charles Taylor
Glass Shop in the amount of $2,197.77, is hereby accepted
and let; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor Pro Tem of the
City of Paris, George Fisher, be, and he is hereby
authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of
Paris the contract for Glass and Glazing Work, City Hall
Annex project, upon the terms and conditions and in the form
shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, with Mike Taylor, d/b/a
Charles Taylor Glass Shop.
Passed and adopted this 2nd day of May, 1985.

AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE OWNER AND THE CONTRACTOR

THIS AGREEMENT, made the 2nd
Nineteen Hundred and Eighty- five
day of May ln the year
(1982), by and between
THE CITY OF PARIS
hereinafter called the OWNER, and
MIKE TAYLOR, d/b/a CHARLES TAYLOR GLASS SHOP
hereinafter called the CONTRACTOR.
WITNESSETH, that the Owner and the Contractor for the considerstions hereinafter
named agree as follows:
ARTICLE I: THE WORK
The Contractor agrees to furnish all necessary labor, materials, tools and equipment
to complete the Glass & Glazing Work as delineated in the Contract Documents
prepared by the Architect.
ARTICLE II: THE ARCHITECT
The Architect for this project lS Denney Architects of Paris, Texas.
ARTICLE Ill: THE CONTRACT SUM
The Owner shall pay the Contractor for the performance of the Work subject to
additions and deductions by Change Order, the Contract Sum of
TWO THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED, NINETY-SEVEN AND 77/100 DOLLARS

ARTICLE IV: PAYMENTS
Based upon Applications for Payment submitted to the Architect by the Contractor and
Certificates for Payment issued by the Architect, the Owner shall make payments on
account of the Contract Sum to the Contractor as outlined in the Summary of the
Work.
ARTICLE V: THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
The Contract Documents shaH consist of:

ARTICLE VI: TIME OF COMMENCEMENT AND COMPLETION
The Work to be performed under this Contract shall be commenced upon receipt of a
Notice to Proceed and completed in a prompt and expeditious manner.
THE CONTRACTOR AND THE OWNER for themselves, their successors, executors,
administrators, and assigns hereby agree to the full performance of the covenants
herein contained.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF they have, executed this Agreement the day and year first written
above.
