1985-023-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at its regular meeting on January 14, 1985, approve
RESOLUTION NO. 85-023
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at
its regular meeting on January 14, 1985, approve the adver-
tisement for bids for furnishing all plant, labor,
materials, and equipment and performing all work required
for the complete installation of the electrical service and
distribution, lighting fixtures, and electrical power
connections to mechanical and other equipment for the City
Hall Annex proj ect, entitled Electrical Work, which bids
were received until 10:00 o'clock A.M., Tuesday, March 26,
1985; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction was made by
Green's of Paris, Inc., 1340 North Main Street. Paris,
Texas 75460, and it should be awarded the bid for such
construction; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract for such construction
proj ect is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form
should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the Bid of Green's of Paris, Inc., in the amount
of $17,776.00, is hereby accepted and let; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, Joe Graham, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the
contract for Electrical Work, City Hall Annex project, upon
the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A
attached hereto, with Green's of Paris, Inc.

Green's of Paris, Inc.
hereinafter called the CONTRACTOR.
WITNESSETH, that the Owner and the Contractor for the considerstions hereinafter
named agree as follows:
ARTICLE I: THE WORK
The Contractor agrees to furnish all necessary labor, materials, tools and equipment
to complete the Electrical Work as delineated in the Contract Documents prepared by
the Architect.
ARTICLE II: THE ARCHITECT
The Architect for this project ~s Denney Architects of Paris, Texas.
ARTICLE III: THE CONTRACT SUM
The Owner shall pay the Contractor for the performance of the Work subject to
additions and deductions by Change Order, the Contract Sum of
Seventeen Thousand, Seven Hundred, Seventy-Six and no/lOO Dollars

ARTICLE IV: PAYMENTS
Based upon Applications for Payment submitted to the Architect by the Contractor and
Certificates for Payment issued by the Architect, the Owner shall make payments on
account of the Contract Sum to the Contractor as outlined in the Summary of the
Work.
ARTICLE V: THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
The Contract Documnets shall consist of:

ARTICLE VI: TIME OF COMMENCEMENT AND COMPLETION
The Work to be performed under this Contract shall be commenced upon receipt of a
Notice to Proceed and completed in a prompt and expeditious manner.
THE CONTRACTOR AND THE OWNER for themselves, their successors, executors,
administrators, and assigns hereby agree to the full performance of the covenants
herein contained.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF they have executed this Agreement the day and year first written
