1985-022-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at Special Meeting on August 28, 1984, approve the
RESOLUTION NO. 85-022
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at
Special Meeting on August 28, 1984, approve the advertise-
ment for bids for furnishing materials and labor for
painting sections of the primary runway at Cox Field, Paris,
Texas, which bids were received until 10:00 o'clock A.M.,
Wednesday, March 6, 1985; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for such project was made by
Stripe-A-Zone, Inc., 2714 West Sherman Street, Grand
Prairie, Texas 75051, and it should be awarded the bid for
such project; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract
attached hereto as Exhibit A, and
approved; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the Bid of Stripe-A-Zone, Inc., for painting of
the primary runway at Cox Field, Paris, Texas, in the amount
of $14,035.83, is hereby accepted and let; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, Joe Graham, be, and is hereby authorized and directed
to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the contract for
painting of the primary runway at Cox Field, Paris, Texas,
upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown in
Exhibit A attached hereto, with Stripe-A-Zone, Inc..

TIES AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 11th day of

its Mayor, Joe Graham,
thereunto duly authorized so to do, Party of the First Part, hereinafter
termed OWNER, and
STRIPE-A-ZONE, INC,
of the City of Grand Prairie, County of
Dallas
and
State of
Texas

CONTRACTOR.
WITNESSETH: That for and in consideration of the payments and
agreements hereinafter mentioned, Party of the Second Part (CONTRACTOR)
hereby agrees with Party of the First Part (OWNER) to commence and com-
plete the construction of certain improvements described as follows:
furnish materials and labor for painting sections of the Primary 35/17
Runway at Cox Field, Paris, Texas.
and all extra work in connection therewith, under the terms as stated in
the General Conditions of the Agreement and at his (or their) own proper
cost and expense to furnish all the materials, supplies, machinery, equip-
ment, tools, superintendence, labor, insurance and other accessories and
services necessary to complete the said construction, in accordance with
the conditions and prices stated in the Proposal attached hereto, and in
accordance with the Notice to Contractors, General and Special Conditions
of Agreement, Plans and other drawings and printed or written explanatory
matter thereof, and the Specifications and addenda therefor, as prepared

herein entitled the AGENT ,each of which has been identified by the
CONTRACTOR and AGENT , together with CONTRACTOR'S written
Proposal and the General Conditions of the Agreement hereto attached,
all of which are made a part hereof and collectively evidence and consti-
tute the entire contract.
The CONTRACTOR hereby agrees to commence work within ten (10)
days after the date written notice to do so shall have been given to him,
and to substantially complete the same within 109 calendar working
days after the date of the written notice to commence work, subject to
such extensions of time as are provided by the General and Special
Conditions. however, such work shall be preformed during the
period from Hay 20, 1985 through June 28, 1985.
The OWNER agrees to pay the CONTRACTOR in current funds the
price or prices shown in the proposal, which forms a part of this con-
tract, such payments to be subject to the General and Special Conditions
of the contract.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties to these presents have executed
this Agreement in the year and day first above written.
