1985-056-RES WHEREAS, the City of Paris has approved and undertaken an extensive Public Works Capital

WHEREAS, the City of Paris has approved and undertaken
an extensive Public Works Capital Improvement Program which
can best be accomplished with continuity of management; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, deems
it to be in the best interest of the City of Paris that John
Buss be employed as the Director of Engineering and
Assistant City Manager of the City of Paris to provide
management continuity to the Public Works Capital Improve-
ment Program, upon the terms and conditions and in the form
of the Professional Services Contract attached hereto as
Exhibit A, and such form should be in all things approved;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That John Buss, be, and he is hereby appointed and
hired as Director of Engineering and Assistant City Manager
of the City of Paris; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, George Fisher, Jr., be, and he is hereby authorized
and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the
Professional Services Contract for Director of Engineering
and Assistant City Manager of the City of Paris, upon the
terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A
attached hereto, with John Buss.
