1985-101-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did at its Regular Meeting on August 12, 1985, authorize
RESOLUTION NO. 85-101
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did at
its Regular Meeting on August 12, 1985, authorize the
creation of a "Project Self-Sufficiency" Task Force to
identify and deliver a coordinated program of public and
private sector resources necessary to break the poverty
cycle for single-parents of low income families. Its goal
is to bring single-parents into the economic mainstream
through a comprehensive program of housing, child care,
transportation, counseling, job training, and job placement
assistance; and,
WHEREAS, persons should be named to such task force to
carry out the project; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the Self-Sufficiency Task Force shall be chaired
by the Mayor of the City of Paris, George Fisher, Jr., with
the following members: Richard Herrington, Mike Folmar,
Cindy Wolf, Linda Flippen, J. P. Shull, Thomas Haynes, Don
Pryor, Robert James, Ora Dickey, Larry Dunn, Ray Banks, Dr.
A. G. Sanford, Betty Kildahl, Peggy Sims-White, Brady
Fisher, Bobby Walters and Naomi Dingman, and the same is
hereby approved and confirmed.
