1985-099-RES WHEREAS, the City of Paris did heretofore in Resolution No. 84-081 authorize contracting for
RESOLUTION NO. 85-099
WHEREAS, the City of Paris did heretofore in Resolution
No. 84-081 authorize contracting for professional services
with Shimek, Jacobs & Finklea, 820 Dallas Federal Tower,
8333 Douglas Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75225, for engineering
design of improvements to and expansion of City of Paris
water system; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Paris is in need of additional
engineering services to include furnishing engineering
services required for preparation of plans and specifi-
cations, together with administration during construction,
for the Fluoride Addition System and it would be appropriate
to add such professional services to the existing contract
authorized by said Resolution No. 84-081 in the form of
Addendum No. 1 attached hereto as Exhibit A and made a part
hereof and the same should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the proposal of Shimek, Jacobs & Finklea for
professional engineering services described in Addendum No.
1 to Professional Services Agreement between Shimek, Jacobs
& Finklea, Consultant Engineers, and the City of Paris dated
November 12, 1984, attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the
same is hereby accepted in the form of said addendum and is
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, George Fisher, Jr., be, and he is hereby authorized
and directed on behalf of the City of Paris to execute the
Professional Service Contract Addendum attached hereto as
Exhibit A.

This addendum to Professional Services Agreement
between Shimek, Jacobs & Finklea, Consultant Engineers, 8333
Douglas Avenue, Suite 820, Dallas, Texas 75225, and the City
of Paris, Paris, Texas, dated November 12, 1984, is this the
11th day of November, 1985, amended as follows:
ARTICLE I - Proj ect is amended by adding thereto the
following:
"In addition to the above the engineer is to
perform professional services including engineering
services required for preparation of plans and speci-
fications, together with administration during
construction, for the Fluoride Addition System."
ARTICLE II - Contract Sum is amended by adding thereto
the following:
"Owner shall reimburse Engineer for the
performance of the services required by Addendum No. 1
to the contract, in accordance with Appendix "B"
Subsection B.l Cost Definitions and Multiplier;
however, notwithstanding any other understanding or
agreement between the parties, the maximum payment by
Owner to Engineer for the performance of engineering
services described in Addendum No. 1 to the contract
shall not exceed Four Thousand Five Hundred and No/100
($4,500.00) Dollars."
