1985-092-RES WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City Council of the City of Paris that there is an alley, RESOLUTION NO. 85-092 WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City Council of the City of Paris that there is an alley, running North and South from Cooper Street North to West Henderson Street, being West of 13th N.W. Street and East of 14th N. W. Street; BEGINNING at the North Boundary Line of Cooper Street and the Southwest Corner of Lot I, Block I, Looke Addition and the Southeast corner of Lot 22, Block 1, Looke Addition; THENCE North approximately 513 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot II, Block I, Looke Addition and the Northeast corner of Lot 12, Block 1, Looke Addition to the South Boundary Line of West Henderson Street; and, WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City Council that the alley is not desired by the property owners adjacent to said alley, but that said alley is of use and necessary to the City of Paris and its citizens for utility easement purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the Mayor of the City of Paris, George Fisher, Jr., be, and he is hereby authorized to execute a quit claim deed to the alley being closed to the adjacent owners on either side of said alley, it appearing that the real and true owners of the hereinafter described lots are as follows: Lots 1 and 2, Block 1 Looke Addition Don and Alice Faye Huff Lots 3, 4, 5, 18, 19, 20, Block 1 Looke Addition Community Baptist Church Lots 6, 7, 8, Part of Lots 9,14,15,16,17, Block I, Looke Addition Ray and Thelma Jones Lots 10, II, 12, 13, Part of Lots 9 & 14, Block I, Looke Addition Robert & Beverly Jo Sanders Lots 21 and 22, Block 1 Looke Addition Douglas and Doris Penny BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Paris retain a utility easement in the area to be described in the above described quit claim deeds.
