MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING

BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION
MONDAY, JUNE 20, 2022

1. Reeves Hayter called the Building and Standards Commission Meeting to order at
3:00 P.M. 11
Roll was called.
The following members were present:

2. Approval of minutes,1 from previous meeting. (May, 2022).
Motion made by Kim Walker and seconded by Adam Bolton to approve the minutes.

3. Public Hearing to consider presentations by City of Paris Code Inspectors and
owner(s) and/or lienilholder(s) of the below properties who have been given notice of
a violation of Chapter 4, Article 4.03 entitled "Substandard and Dangerous Buildings
and Structures"; Chapter 7, Article 7.04 entitled "Weeds, Junk, and Other
Objectionable, Unsightly, or Unsanitary Matter on Private Premises"; Chapter 8,
Article 8.10 entitled! "Outdoor Storage"; Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris,
Paris, TX:

Robert Talley stated the roof collapsed, its unsecure, missing and deteriorating
wood, bulging roof, floors rotting, water damage and tree vines growing into the
roof.

Robert Talley stated the structure has fire damage, it's unsecure and has holes in
the roof.

Robert Talley I stated that the abatement crew cleaned up outside, it's unsecure,
siding is peeling off, sinking, missing and deteriorated wood, shed in back has holes
in roof, vines growing on it and the floor is rotting.

commission already. The carport and back of the house has fire damage, it's
unsecure and the wiring is out of it.

Mrs. Gibersonllex-wife came in and explained that he is in a nursing home.
Robert Talley�stated we saw this last month and put demo orders on it, but it has

not sold. The porch is falling off, holes in roof and it has missing and deteriorating
wood.

city has right t'o do so.

Robert Talley stated that Rodney Thomas has taken over this lot, like many others
in town we have had to clean due to him squatting on them. This is a junk and
rubbish case BBQ grill, gas cans, clothes, mattresses, litter, camper, totes, pop up
camper shell ulsed as a trailer and other junk and rubbish.
