1984-002 - Blake Road changed to Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive effective 01/14/1984
RESOLUTION NO. 84-002
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, in
keeping with its philosophy of serving all of the citizens
of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, streets of the City of Paris have heretofore
been named after prominent national figures; and,
WHEREAS, Martin Luther King, Jr. is recognized
prominent national figure, it is therefore fitting
proper to designate Blake Road from the East boundary
of 6th Street N. E. East to the West boundary line of
Street N. E. as Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive;
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that Blake Road from the East boundary line of 6th
Street N. E. East to the West boundary line of 20th Street
N. E. be and the same is hereby designated as Martin Luther
King, Jr. Drive, effective January 14, 1984.
