1984-004 - Hotel occupancy tax fundsRESOLUTION NO. 84 -004 WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore in Resolution No. 1993 authorize the contracting with the Chamber of Commerce of Lamar County, Inc. to fund the hotel occupancy tax funds for promoting and advertising the City of Paris, and establish a program of work, which contract expired on the 31st day of December 1983; and, WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of extending the term of said contract for sixty days to March 1, 1984, which would be accomplished by Addendum No. 1 attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the Mayor of the City of Paris, Joe Graham, be, and he is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, Addendum No. 1 to contract with the Chamber of Commerce of Lamar County, Inc, dated January, 1982, upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto. STATE OF TEXAS § COUNTY OF LAMAR § This addendum to agreement funding the Visitors and Convention Council of the Chamber of Commerce of Lamar County for the purpose of promoting and advertising the City of Paris and in developing an annual program of work, executed in January, 1982 by and between the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, acting by and through its Mayor, Billy Joe Burnett, duly authorized and the Chamber of Commerce of Lamar County, Inc. acting by and through its President, R. T. King, duly authorized, WITNESSETH: It is hereby mutually agreed by and between the City of Paris, Paris, Texas and the Chamber of Commerce of Lamar County, Inc. that paragraph 11 of said agreement shall be changed to read as follows: "11. That the term of this contract shall be for a term of two years and 60 days, beginning January 1, 1982 and ending March 1, 1984." Executed on the date shown in the acknowledgements below.
