1984-007 - City council meetingsRESOLUTION NO. 84 -007
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it
to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris and
orderly City government that the City Council have two
regular meetings per month. The first of which is to be on
the Thursday before the second Monday of each month at 5:15
P.M. and the second to be on the second Monday of each month
at 7:00 P.M.; and,
WHEREAS, the agenda of the Thursday meeting shall give
preference to zoning matters and public hearings and the
agenda for the Monday council meeting shall give no pre-
ference other than those directed by Section 2 -1 of the Code
of Ordinances of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the City Council of the City of Paris meet in
regular session on the Thursday before the second Monday of
each month and on the second Monday of each month. Said
meetings to be at 5:15 and 7:00 o'clock P.M. respectively.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that the regular Thursday
meeting agenda give preference to matters of zoning and
matters requiring public hearing and that the Monday regular
meeting agenda have no preference other than those directed
by Section 2 -1 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Paris.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the designation herein
of regular meetings is an exercise of the City Council's
authority as granted in Rule 2 of Section 2 -1 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Paris.
