SUBJECT: PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED 2022-23 BUDGET
DATE: September 12, 2022
BACKGROUND: A public hearing on the proposed City budget is required by Section 50 of the
City Charter and Section 102.006 of the Local Government Code. The proposed budget was filed
with the City Clerk on July 28, 2022. On August 22nd the City Council approved a resolution
calling for a public hearing on the 2022-23 City budget on September 12th. A legal notice
advertising the public hearing was published in the Paris News. A copy of the proposed budget
was placed on the City website.
STATUS OF ISSUE: The City Council needs to hold the public hearing on the 2022-23 City
budget on September 12, 2022.
BUDGET: N/A
RECOMMENDATION: Hold the public hearing on the proposed 2022-23 City budget.
