RESOLUTION NO.84 -015
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris in
Resolution No. 83 -070 accepted the proposal of Underground
Resource Management, Inc. for the collection of geological
and hydraulic data and survey concerning the final closing
of the landfill and monitoring of the same; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Paris has need for professional
services and Underground Resource Management, Inc. has made
a proposal for such services being described as follows:
five (5) soil borings to collect samples and analyze the
same and to perform a field perimeter test to estimate rates
of leakage from proposed waste water basin and to prepare a
report interpreting the same; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the
City of Paris that the existing contract for professional
services with Underground Resource Management, Inc. dated
November 22, 1983, be amended by Addendum No. 1 attached
hereto as Exhibit A and made a part hereof; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the proposal of Underground Resource Management,
Inc. for additional professional services described in
Addendum No. 1 to professional services contract, dated
November 22, 1983, between City of Paris, Paris, Texas and
Underground Resource Management, Inc., be, and the same is
hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Joe Graham, Mayor, be and
he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of
the City of Paris said Addendum No. 1.

AND UNDERGROUND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, INC.

This addendum to agreement providing for professional
services, made this 20th day of February, 1984, by and
between the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, acting by and
through its Mayor, Joe Graham, duly authorized and Under-
ground Resource Pfanagement, ine, acting by and through its
Vice - President, Bob Kent, duly authorized, WITNESSETH:
It is hereby mutually agreed by and between the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas and Underground Resource Management,
Inc. 2449 -B Capital of Texas Highway, Austin, Texas 78746
as follows:
1. Paragraph l shall be charged to read as follows:
"The CITY wishes to procure and the ENGINEER desires to
provide professional services as described in Exhibit A
attached hereto and incorporated herein for all legal
purposes, entitled "Table 1" consisting of two (2) phases
for which CITY agrees to pay as hereinafter stated. Task V,
VI, VIII and all other meetings are included in the total
test of $38,000.00 and any addition thereto will require
specific written authorization: executed by the City Manager
of the City of Paris. The CITY wishes to procure further
professional services as described in Exhibit- A -1 attached
hereto and incorporated herein for c.1.1 legal purposes, at a.
total cost not to exceed $8, 175.00."
^. That Paragraph 3 of said agreement shall be
changed to read as follows: "CITY agrees to pay for profes-
sional services by category described in each phase of
Exhibit B and described in E;;hibit B -1 attached hereto and
made a part_ hereof, at the rates shown therein, and in
Exhibit C attached hereto and made a part hereof entitled
"Fees for Professional and Technical Services" and in
Exhibit D attached hereto and rude a part hereof entitled
"Fees for Field Explorz -tion" and Exhibit E attached hereto
and made a part hereon entitled "Fees for Laboratory Ser-
vices"."
