1984-049 - Emergency Repair and Restorration of the Central Interceptor Sanitary SewerRESOLUTION NO. 84 -049 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did approve the advertisement for bids for installing approxi- mately 7,000 linear feet of 24" diameter PVC perma -loc sanitary sewer pipe as manufactured by J -M Manufacturing which has been purchased by the City of Paris, to restore the flow of sanitary sewage along the central interceptor and to furnish and install manholes and other related appurtenances, entitled Emergency Repair and Restoration of the Central Interceptor Sanitary Sewer, City of Paris, Paris, Texas, which bids were received until 10:00 o'clock A.M., Monday, June 11, 1984; and, WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction was made by Dual Construction, Inc., Box 867, Texarkana, Texas, and it should be awarded the bid for such construction; and, WHEREAS, the form of contract for such construction project is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the bid of Dual Construction, Inc., for the Emergency Repair and Restoration of the Central Interceptor Sanitary Sewer in the amount of $387,371.75, is hereby accepted and let, conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and specifications included in the bid documents; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Paris, Joe Graham, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the contract for such repair and restoration project, upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, with Dual Construction, Inc..
