1984-074 - Receipt of a deed of donation from Texas Utilities Electric Company...RESOLUTION NO. 84 -074
WHEREAS, THE City Council of the City of Paris is in
receipt of a deed of donation from Texas Utilities Electric
Company conveying 9.45 acres in the Larkin Rattan Survey to
the Citv of Paris, Paris, Texas, reserving unto itself an
easement and right -of -way for electric power lines and
communication lines on 0.854 acres out of the same; and,
WHEREAS, the generosity of Texas Utilities Electric
Company is appreciated and it would be in the best interest
of the citizens of Paris to accept such donation; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, That the donation of Texas Utilities Electric Company
conditioned as aforesaid and described on Exhibit A attached
hereto is in all things accepted.

That, TEXAS UTILITIES ELECTRIC COMPANY, a Texas corporation
acting by and through a duly authorized officer of TEXAS POWER & LIGHT
COMPANY, a division of such corporation, for and in consideration of
the sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00) and other good and valuable con-
sideration, to me in hand paid by the CITY OF PARIS, Texas, receipt
of which is hereby acknowledged, and for which no lien, expressed or
implied, is hereby retained, has Granted, Sold and Conveyed, and by
these presents does Grant, Sell and Convey unto the said CITY OF
PARIS, P.O. Box 1037, Paris, Texas 75460, the following described real
property in Lamar County, Texas, to -wit:
All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land containing 9.45 acres of land,
more or less, out of the Larkin Rattan Survey, Abstract No. 778, Lamar County,
Texas, described in deed from Paris $ Mt. Pleasant RR Co. to Texas Power 6
Light Company, as now of record in Volume 505, Page 487, Deed Records of Lamar
County, Texas; the tract hereby conveyed being more particularly described by
metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of the above referred to 9.45
acre tract of land, said point also being the East right of way line of
Eighth Street (formerly Lavaca St.);
THENCE North with the East right of way line of Eighth Street
(formerly Lab3ca St.), 100 feet to point for corner;
THENCE East 381 feet to point for corner;
THENCE North 100 feet to point for corner;
THENCE East 453 feet to point for corner;
THENCE North 75 feet, more or less, to point for corner;
THENCE West 197 feet to point for corner;
THENCE with a curve to the left, a distance of 826 feet, more
or less, to a point for corner, said point also being the South right
of way line of T 6 P Railway;
THENCE South with the South right of way line of the T B P Rail-
way, 840 00' East, 600 feet to point for corner;
THENCE South 392 feet to point for corner;
THENCE with a curve to the left, a distance of 510 feet to a

SUBJECT TO the hior tgage and Deed of Trust from Texas Power
& Light Company to Republic National Bank, now Republic-
Bank Dallas, Trustee, dated May 1, 1945, and all supple-
mental indentures thereto, and further subject to the
Mortgage and Deed of Trust from Texas Utilities Electric
Company to Irving Trust Company, Trustee dated December
1, 1983.
GRANTOR RESERVES AND EXCEPTS for itself, its successors and assigns,
an easement and rights of way for one or more electric power lines and
communication lines, each consisting of a variable number of wires,
and all necessary and desirable appurtenances and attachments, in-
cluding poles, H- frames, metal towers, guy wires and guy anchorages,
over and across portions of the above - described tract being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:

of land, being a part of a 9.45 acre tract of land, more or less, out of the
Larkin Rattan Survey, Abstract No. 778, Lamar County, Texas; described in
deed from Paris P, Mt. Pleasant R.R. Company to Texas Power 6 Light Company,
as now of record in Volume S05, Page 487, Deed Records of Lamar County, Texas;
the tract hereby conveyed being more particularly described by metes and bounds
as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of the above referred to 9.45 acre
tract of land, said point also being in the East tight of way line of Eighth
Street (formerly Lavaca Street);
THENCE North with the East right of way line of Eighth Street, 30
feet to a point for corner;
THENCE East 1,442 feet to point for corner; said point also being the
West right of way line of Twelfth Street (formerly Webb Street);
THENCE South with the West right of way line of Twelfth Street (formerly
Webb Street) 20 feet to point for corner; said point also being the Southeast
corner of the above referred to 9.45 acre tract of land;
THENCE West with the south boundary line of the above referred to 9.45
acre tract of land 608 feet to point for corner;
THENCE South 10 feet to point for corner;
THENCE West 834 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING located as above described
