1984-070 - Disapproving Lamar County Appraisal District budgetRESOLUTION NO. 84 -070
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Paris acting by
and through its Mayor did heretofore in his letter of August
27, 1984, criticize the proposed budget of the Lamar County
Appraisal District; and,
WHEREAS the budget of the Lamar County Appraisal
District as adopted on or about September 5, 1984, did not
meet the criticism so given; and,
WHEREAS it is appropriate that the City of Paris invite
other taxing units to pass resolutions disapproving the
subject budget and file the same with the Secretary of the
Board of Directors of the Lamar County Appraisal District on
or before the 5th day of October, 1984; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the budget approved and adopted by the Lamar
County Appraisal District on or about the 5th day of
September, 1984, be and the same is hereby disapproved by
the City of Paris, a taxing unit entitled to vote on the
appointment of Board of Director members for the Lamar
County Appraisal District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk, H. C.
Greene, be, and is hereby authorized and directed to deliver
a certified copy of this resolution to the Secretary of the
Board of Directors of the Lamar County Appraisal District on
or before the 5th day of October, 1984.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk, H. C.
Greene, furnish a copy of this resolution to each taxing
unit entitled to vote on the appointment of Board of
Director members of the Lamar County Appraisal District as a
manner of soliciting their passage of a resolution
disapproving the Lamar County Appraisal District budget
passed and adopted on the 5th day of September, 1984.
