1984-083 - Contract for intersection improvements at 20th St. N.E. and Pine BluffRESOLUTION NO. 84 -083
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at
its regular meeting on September 10, 1984, approve the
advertisement for bids for furnishing all plant labor,
material and equipment and performing all work required for
the construction of intersection improvements at 20th
Street, N.E. and Pine Bluff Street, including approximately
300 square yards of 9" portland cement concrete pavement
with approximately 200 linear feet of integral curb and
gutter and related excavation and grading, entitled
Intersection Improvements at 20th Street N.E. and Pine Bluff
Dated October, 1984, which bids were received until 10:00
o'clock A.M., Wednesday, November 7, 1984; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction was made by
Clement, Porterfield & Guess, a partnership, 3665 Lamar
Avenue, Paris, Texas 75460, and they should be awarded the
bid for such construction; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract for such construction
project is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form
should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the Bid of Clement, Porterfield & Guess for the
intersection improvements at 20th Street N.E. and Pine
Bluff, in the amount of $27,530.00, is hereby accepted and
let, conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of the
terms and specifications included in the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Paris, Joe Graham, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the
contract for intersection improvements at 20th Street N.E.
and Pine Bluff, upon the terms and conditions and in the
form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, with Clement,
Porterfield & Guess.

WITNESSETH : That for and zn consideration of the payments and a, r. eements herein-
after mentioned, to be made and performed by the Party of the First Part (04VNF,R), and tinder
the conditions expressed in the bond bearing even date herewith, the said Party of the Second

commence and complete the construction of certain improvements described its follows:

and all extra work in connection therewith, under the terms as stated in the (general - Conditions
of the Agreement and at his (or their) own proper cost and expense to furnish alt the materials,
supplies, machinery, equipment, tools, superintendence, labor, insurance, and other accessories
and services necessary to complete the said construction, in accordance with she conditions and
prices stated in the Proposal attached hereto, and in accordance with the Notice to Contractors,
General and Special Conditions of Agreement, Plans and other drawings and I-winted or written
explanatory matter thereof, and the Specifications and addenda therefor, as prepared by._ - - -_-
