WHEREAS the City of Paris did heretofore in Resolution
No. 84-053 authorize contracting with Withers Land Forming,
Inc., for the execution of the Landfill Closure And Flow
Equalization Basin Site Development Project; and,
WHEREAS, an abnormal amount of rainfall during the
month of October, 1984, delayed adequate progress in the
execution of excavation and placement of landfill cover, and
necessitated the granting of a time extension for the
completion of the cover placement phase of the landfill
closure work, in the amount of 28 calendar days, as shown in
Change Order No. 1 attached hereto as Exhibit A; and,
WHEREAS in the course
