Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session
at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023 to consider a potential residential tax abatement
agreement as set forth below. The meeting will be held at the City Council Chamber, 107 E.
Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. Due to the CoVID outbreak, facemasks are encouraged for
those in attendance of the meeting in the City Council Chamber. The video feed of the
meeting will be available for live viewing at https://paristexas.gov/public. The matters to be
discussed and acted upon are as follows:
1. Owner of Property. Paris/Lamar County Habitat for Humanity
Applicant: Paris/Lamar County Habitat for Humanity
2. The Name and Location of the Reinvestment Zone: Reinvestment Zone 2020-1. The
tax abatement agreement will be considered as part of a 5 in 5 Program agreement
which will cover the following properties:
• 743 E. Polk, Block 2, Lot 22, Gibbons Park Addition (LCAD # 11781)
448 1Ot" St. NE, City of Paris Block 69-B, Lot 3, (LCAD #14651)
• 813 5" St. SE, City of Paris Block 161, Lot 1 (LCAD #16659)
• 1274 15t" St. SE, Block 8, Lots 3 and 4, Gibbons Park Addition (LCAD
#11594)
3, A General Descr plion of the Nature of the Improvements or Req airs. New
construction of four single family owner occupied houses.
4. The Estimated Cost of the „Im Improvements or„Repairs: $400,000.00
