OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS
April 17, 2023
The Paris Visitors and Convention Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at
4:00 p.m. on March 20, 2023, at the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce board room, 8 West
Plaza, Paris, TX.
Present: Board Members: Trey Glascock, Bryan Hargis, Bud Mistry, Kelli McDonald, Eric
Guillot, Bradley Hilliard, Mihir Pankaj, Ryan Whitaker, Robbie Todd, Chadlee Johnston and
Russell Jackson.
City Representatives: Paula Portugal
Absent: Board Members: Dustin Broadway and Tim Walsworth
Call meeting to order.
Chadlee Johnston called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
2. Citizens' Forum.
There was no one present for citizens' forum.
3. Approve minutes from the meeting of March 20, 2023. A motion to approve was made
by Trey Glascock, seconded by Mihir Pankaj. Motion carried. 10 ayes, 0 nays.
4. Receive financial report from March 2023, by Russell Jackson. A motion to approve was
made by Mihir Pankaj, seconded by Bud Mistry. Motion carried. 10 ayes. 0 nays.
5. Discuss and act on funding request for Paris Breakfast Optimist Club, June and July events.
Based on the scoring criteria a motion to approve $2125 for the Open DYB All Star Warm
up tournament; $2300 for the Dixie Youth Baseball North Division 2; $2300 for the Dixie
Youth Baseball North Division l; $1000 for the Dixie Youth Baseball North Division 2
Ozone; $1000 for the Dixie Baseball North Division 1, a motion to approve was made by
Eric Guillot, seconded by Ryan Whitaker. Motion carried. 10 ayes. O nays.
6. Discussion. UCI Pump Track Event on April 28-29, 2023, ASA bringing about 700
archery shooters, May 17-21, 2023, Jet Ski race at Lake Crook, June 2-4, 2023 and the 903
Sunset series will be back in June.
7. Adjournment.
There being no further business, A Motion to adjourn was made by Board Member Trey
Glascock seconded by Board Member Ryan Whitaker. Motion carried, 10 ayes — 0 nays.
