Bids were received and publicly opened at 3:00 p.m. on 07/18/2023. STATUS OF ISSUE: Bids were advertised in The Paris News on 06/18/2023 and 06/25/2023, and published on the City of Paris Department of Utilities website; bid packets were direct mailed to fifty-six (56) vendors; twenty-eight (28) bids from twenty (20) vendors were submitted. Low bids received: Chlorine, $2,660.00/ton, Brenntag Southwest, Inc.; Alum, $329.45/ton, Affinity Chemical, LLC; Ammonia, $1,870.00/ton, Tanner Industries, Inc.; Bulk Lime, $278.67/ton, Texas Lime; Bagged Lime, $432.01/ton, Texas Lime; Powdered Activated Carbon, $0.98/lb., Cabot Norit Americas, Inc.; Sulfur Dioxide, $2,000.00/ton, Brenntag Southwest, Inc.; Sodium Hydroxide, $840.00/ton, FSTI, Inc.; Polymer, $1.85/lb., Polydyne, Inc.; Fluoride, $3.05/gal, Pencco, Inc.
