SUBJECT: PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED 2023-24 BUDGET
DATE: September 11, 2023
BACKGROUND: A public hearing on the proposed City budget is required by Section 48 of the
City Charter and Section 102.006 of the Local Government Code. The proposed budget was filed
with the City Clerk on July 25, 2023. On August 28th the City Council approved a resolution
calling for a public hearing on the 2023-24 City budget on September 11th. A legal notice
advertising the public hearing was published in the Paris News. A copy of the proposed budget
was placed on the City website.
STATUS OF ISSUE: The City Council needs to hold the public hearing on the 2023-24 City
budget on September 11, 2023.
BUDGET: N/A
RECOMMENDATION: Hold the public hearing on the proposed 2023-24 City budget.
