2. Citizens forum
(Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. Unless an item
is posted on the Agenda, the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments
other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual
information. Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as individual personal appeals are
not appropriate for citizens' forum.)
3. Convene into executive session under Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code to
consult with legal counsel regarding pending or contemplated litigation or a settlement offer;
or on a matter in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas
Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with
said chapter, to wit: Item No. 5.
4. Reconvene into regular session.
Discussion and action on the following applications for the property located 1032 Church
Street- Randy Hider:
a. Certificate of Appropriateness -New Construction
b. Fagade Grant
c. Tax Exemption for the New Construction in the Historic District
(This item was tabled at the September 13, 2023 meeting of the Commission. A motion to remove
the item from the table must be made and approved before consideration and action thereon.)
