February 20, 2024
The Paris Visitors and Convention Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 4:00 p.m. on
February 20, 2024, at the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce board room, 8 West Plaza, Paris, TX.
Present: Board Members: Bradley Hilliard, Ryan Whitaker, Chadlee Johnston, Austin Anthony, Thomas
McMonigle, Bud Mistry, Trey Glascock, Eric Guillot and Sherrie Holbert.
City Representatives: none
Absent: Board Members: Tim Walsworth, Bryan Hargis, Brittany Miller, Monica Clement, Cody Head and
Misty Halcomb.
1. Call meeting to order.
Chadlee Johnston called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
2. Citizens' Forum.
There was no one present for the citizen's forum.
3. Approve minutes from the meeting of January 2024. A motion to approve was made by Ryan Whitaker
seconded by Eric Guillot. Motion carried. 9 ayes, 0 nays.
4. Receive financial report from January 2024, by Austin Anthony. A motion to approve was made by Trey
Glascock, seconded by Bud Mistry. Motion carried. 9 ayes. 0 nays.
5. Discuss and act on funding request for Archer's for Christ Tri-State Shootout on March 9th and 10th. Based
on the scoring criteria a motion to approve $2375 was made by Trey Glascock, seconded by Thomas
McMonigle. Motion carried. 9 ayes. O nays.
6. Discuss and act on funding request for PTX Con 3 on April 13th. Based on the scoring criteria a motion to
approve $2040 was made by Bradley Hilliard, seconded by Eric Guillot. Motion carried. 9 ayes. O nays.
7. Discuss and act on funding request for City of Paris Winefest on April 13th. Based on the scoring criteria a
motion to approve $1750 was made by Eric Guillot, seconded by Bud Mistry. Motion carried. 9 ayes. 0
nays
8. Discus and act on funding request for Texas Cup National Qualifier on April 201h. Based on the scoring
criteria a motion to approve $1725 was made by Trey Glascock, seconded by Bradley Hilliard. Motion
carried. 9 ayes. O nays.
9. Discuss and act on funding request for JJ da boss race at Paris Drag Strip on April 26th and 27th. Based on
the scoring criteria a motion to approve $1450 was made by Thomas McMonigle, seconded by Ryan
Whitaker. Motion carried. 9 ayes. 0 nays.
10. Paul Allen stated that TMBRA was February 10th -11th. Eclipse and Kevn Fowler Concert on April 7-8,.
11. Adjournment.
There being no further business, A Motion to adjourn was made by Board Member Eric Guillot, seconded
by Board Member Chadlee Johnston. Motion carried, 9 ayes — 0 nays. Chadlee Johnston, Paris
Convention and Council Board Chair adj ourned the meeting at 4:19 p.m.
