March 14, 2024
The Love Civic Center Board of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, March
14, 2024, at the Love Civic Center, 2025 S. Collegiate.
Present: Board Members: Austin Anthony, Gary Flynn, Levi Graham, Angie Briscoe,
Lauren Wilson, Robert Staples, Brittany Chaidemenos, Ashley Green, and Brad
Ramsey.
City Representatives: None.
Absent: Board Members: Brittany Johnson, Owen Jobe, Scott Avery, Hunter Jones, Dr.
Wally Kraft, and Peggy McClaren.
Call meeting to order.
Robert Staples, Chair, called the meeting to order at 12:15 p.m.
Citizens' Forum.
No one present.
3. Approve minutes from the meeting of January, 2024, a motion to approve this item was made by Robert
Staples, seconded by Angie Briscoe, motion carried, 9 ayes, 0 nays.
Receive financial report from Austin Anthony, a motion to approve this item was made by Levi Graham,
seconded by Ashley Green. Motion carried, 9 ayes, 0 nays.
Randy Nation stated that we are having difficulty in obtaining local Lamar County security officers for
events. We would like to add to the contract, that after checking for local security, if none available, that we
can go outside Lamar County. A motion to approve was made by Levi Graham, seconded by Robert Staples.
Motion carried. 9 ayes, 0 nays.
Paul Allen stated he would like the board to make some changes to the RV policy for the back of the civic
center.
a. Starting March 14, 2024- any new long-term RVs will only be
allowed to stay for 28 days.
b. They must be there for occupation and not residential.
c. No motorized offroad vehicle can be kept onsite.
d. They must sign a waiver of liability.
A motion to approve updating the contract was made by Robert Staples, seconded by Ashley Green. Motion
carried. 9 ayes, 0 nays.
Adjournment.
There being no further business, A Motion to adjourn was made by Board Member Robert Staples, seconded
by Board Member Austin Anthony. Motion carried, 9 ayes — 0 nays.
Robert Staples adjourned the meeting at 12:36 p.m.
