SUBJECT: Accept Resignation of City Manager Grayson Path.
DATE: July 8, 2024
BACKGROUND: On June 12, 2024, City Manager Grayson Path notified City Council in
writing of his Notice of Resignation with a final day identified as August 2, 2024. Mr. Path
accepted a position in Amarillo, Texas as their City Manager.
On July 1, 2024, Mr. Path revised his Notice of Resignation with a new final day as July 12,
2024, due to the transition of his duties progressing much faster in Paris and in Amarillo.
On July 2, 2024, City Council appointed Deputy City Manager Rob Vine as Interim City
Manager effective July 12, 2024.
STATUS OF ISSUE: Acceptance of City Manager Grayson Path's resignation is simply a
formality following his resignation, his revised resignation and appointment of Rob Vine as
Interim City Manager.
BUDGET: N/A
RECOMMENDATION: Accept the resignation of City Manager Grayson Path.
