SUBJECT: PRESENTATION — RUNWAY 17 / 35 CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
UPDATE
DATE: July 8, 2024
Since 2019, the City of Paris has been working with TxDOT to implement the Runway and
Taxiway restoration project. This project is needed and covers the primary runway, taxiway
connectors, and apron. All paperwork has been completed and submitted, and the funds due to
TxDOT have been paid.
STATUS OF ISSUE:
The official start date for this project to proceed is July 9, 2024. This project is scheduled to take
120 days, but with good weather this project could be shorter than the original 120 days. The
purpose of this agenda item is to provide the City Council a presentation on the project which will
begin this week
BUDGET:
$347,000 — 10% of overall cost was budgeted and the funds have been sent to TxDOT Aviation.
RECOMMENDATION:
Presentation only for the purpose of receiving an update on the Project.
