BACKGROUND: On June 12, 2024, City Manager Grayson Path notified City Council in
writing of his Notice of Resignation with a final day identified as August 2, 2024. Mr. Path
accepted a position in Amarillo, Texas as their City Manager.
On July 1, 2024, Mr. Path revised his Notice of Resignation with a new final day as July 12,
2024, due to the transition of his duties progressing much faster in Paris and in Amarillo.
On July 2, 2024, City Council appointed Deputy City Manager Rob Vine as Interim City
Manager effective July 12, 2024.
STATUS OF ISSUE: On July 2, 2024, City Council asked that City Staff invite the firms of
Strategic Government Resources and Baker & Tilly to give presentations about their services
related to recruiting a City Manager for the City of Paris. Mr. Vine contacted both firms, who
will give presentation at the Council meeting tonight.
