05/09/2024 MinutesMINUTES OF THE LOVE CIVIC CENTER BOARD MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS May 9, 2024 The Love Civic Center Board of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at the Love Civic Center, 2025 S. Collegiate. Present: Board Members: Russell Jackson, Trey Peeples, Hunter Jones, Peggy McClaren, Gary Flynn, Angie Briscoe, Lauren Wilson, Brittany Chaidemenos, Ashley Green, and Wally Kraft. City Representatives: None. Absent: Board Members: Brittany Johnson, Owen Jobe, Scott Avery, Levi Graham, Robert Staples, and Brad Ramsey. Call meeting to order. Russell Jackson, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 12:16 p.m. Citizens' Forum. No one present. 3. Approve minutes from the meeting of March 2024, a motion to approve this item was made by Trey Peeples, seconded by Hunter Jones, motion carried, 10 ayes, 0 nays. 4. Receive financial report from Russell Jackson, a motion to approve this item was made by Ashley Green, seconded by Trey Peeples. Motion carried, 10 ayes, 0 nays. 5. Russell Jackson stated he, Paul, Robert and roofer went on the roof and found the issues. There will be six new downspouts and a metal plate added to the roof for $7438.00. This has already been approved by the Chamber Board. 6. Gina Crawford stated that the Quilt Show is May 10'i' and I I', and Archery is May 17-19. 7. RV policy was discussed and two more changes need to be made. a. Liability: All Park facilities and equipment are intended for the convenience of our guests. Any and all persons using the facilities do at THEIR OWN RISK AND CONSENT. The Park management is NOT RESPONSIBLE for accidents due to fire, theft, wind, flood, personal negligence, acts of God, or other unfortunate circumstances. The registered guest is financially responsible for all individuals and pets at their site for any and all damage to the park. Again, all visitors must check in at the office and subject to day use fee. b. RV must be fully insured. Adjournment. There being no further business, A Motion to adjourn was made by Board Member Ashley Green, seconded by Board Member Angie Briscoe. Motion carried, 10 ayes — 0 nays.
