SUBJECT: PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED 2024-25 BUDGET
DATE: September 9, 2024
BACKGROUND: A public hearing on the proposed City budget is required by Section 48 of the
City Charter and Section 102.006 of the Local Government Code. The proposed budget was filed
with the City Clerk on August 12, 2024. On August 26th the City Council approved a resolution
calling for a public hearing on the 2024-25 City budget on September 9t". A legal notice advertising
the public hearing was published in the Paris News. A copy of the proposed budget was placed on
the City website.
STATUS OF ISSUE: The City Council needs to hold the public hearing on the 2024-25 City
budget on September 9, 2024,.
BUDGET: N/A
RECOMMENDATION: Hold the public hearing on the proposed 2024-25 City budget.
