02/24/2025 MinutesMINUTES OF THE PARIS VISITORS AND CONVENTION COUNCIL MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS February 24, 2025 The Paris Visitors and Convention Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 4:00 p.m. on February 24, 2025, at the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce board room, 8 West Plaza, Paris, TX. Present: Board Members: Brandon Kellum, Monica Clement, Chadlee Johnston, Bradley Hilliard, Bud Mistry, Cody Head, Chase Coleman, Eric Guillot, Thomas McMonagle, Lindsey Bounds, and Anwar Scott. City Representatives: None. Absent: Board Members: Brittany Miller, Misty Halcomb and Sherrie Holbert. 1. Call meeting to order. Chadlee Johnston called the meeting to order at 4:00p.m. 2. Citizens' Forum. No one present. 3. Approve minutes from the meeting of January 2025. A motion to approve was made by Eric Guillot, seconded by Brad Hilliard. Motion carried. 11 ayes, 0 nays. 4. Receive financial report of January 2025, by Chase Coleman. A motion to approve was made by Chase Coleman, seconded by Thomas McMonagle. Motion carried. 11 ayes. 0 nays. 5. Discuss and act on funding request for Paris Texas Winefest, April 12th. Based on the scoring criteria a motion to approve $1650 was made by Eric Guillot, seconded by Cody Head, with Thomas McMonagle abstaining. Motion carried. 11 ayes. O nays. 6. Discuss and act on funding request from Texas Cup Powerlifting, April 261h. Based on the scoring criteria a motion to approve $1700 was made by Thomas McMonagle, seconded by Bud Mistry. Motion carried. 11 ayes. 0 nays. 7. Discuss and act on funding request from Slade Baker Memorial Crawfish Cookoff, May 3rd. Based on the scoring criteria a motion to approve $1750 was made by Cody Head, seconded by Eric Guillot. Motion carried. 11 ayes. 0 nays. 8. Discuss and act on funding request from Uncle Jesse Fishing Tournament, May 3rd. Based on the scoring criteria a motion to approve $2000 was made by Thomas McMonagle, seconded by Cody Head. Discuss and act on funding request from Eiffel in Love with Quilts Quilt Show, May 9 — 10. Based on the scoring criteria a motion to approve $2450 was made by Chase Coleman, seconded by Bud Mistry. Motion carried. 11 ayes. 0 nays 10. Paul Allen stated that TMBRA was a success with 200 riders. He also stated that we are looking into the cost of a downtown Kiosk for visitors. 11. Adjournment. There being no further business, A Motion to adjourn was made by Board Member Brad Hilliard, seconded by Board Member Thomas McMonagle. Motion carried, 10 ayes — 0 nays.
