Paris Pubtio Library Advisory Board <br />MY 16, 2025 <br />Meeting Minutes <br />1, Call to order at :01 p.m. We have not met quorum due to new members not yet <br />swearing in, so no official motions can be made. <br />--Steve explained the purpose of the board to the neer members <br />bers <br />purposes of the board --manage gift funds, make recommendations for library <br />services, cooperate with the public to benefit the library. No statutory authority <br />really. our charge is to meet on the third Wednesday of every month. Special <br />meetings can be called if necessary. Terms are three years. <br />[I. Citizen Forum <br />No citizens addressed the board. <br />Ill. [Minutes were not approved due to lack of quorum. <br />1. New business <br />A. Welcome New board members <br />Introductions: Connie Lawman, director} Sandy [heir, new member; <br />Abigail Frank, last year of first terra; Jennifer Holje, friends of the library <br />vice president; Mihir P nkaj, mayor/ city council liaison; Audrey Mathieu, <br />friends of the library president; Eva Dickey, ey, board member; Dee Hawkes, <br />new member; Stere Hellmann} president of the board. <br />2. Chairman an and secretary appointments were pushed off due to lack of <br />quorum. <br />V. Friends of the Library report <br />--Audrey said she was approached by a community member ber that said she had <br />tried to reach out to the Paris Pubic Library and had not reached out. <br />--Audrey explained the purpose of the Friends of the Library to new members, <br />, <br />Friends started in the 1980s to fund the expansion and has continued to help <br />with funds life murals, Bookffix, art competitions, and other things the library <br />needs. <br />1.
