2026-017 - Amending the FY 2025-26 BudgetAN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO AMEND THE 2025-26 BUDGET FOR SELECT FUNDS. WHEREAS, total General Fund revenues in the 2025-26 fiscal year budget are anticipated to exceed the original budget by $587,566; and, WHEREAS, certain General Fund departments in the 2025-26 fiscal year budget have anticipated expenditures in excess of original budget appropriations in the amounts shown therein as follows: 1. 2, 1 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. is. 16. 17. WHEREAS, certain Water Fund departments in the 2025-26 fiscal year budget have anticipated expenditures in excess of original budget appropriations in the amounts shown therein as follows: 1. Warehouse $ 511.00 2. Water Billing & Collection $ 18,079.00 3. Water Distribution $ 262,165.00 4. Sewer Maintenance $ 7,445.00 5. Waste Water Treatment $ 80,246.00 6. Lift Stations $ 5,901.00 TOTAL $ 374,347.00 WHEREAS, total Airport Fund revenues and expenditures in the 2025-26 fiscal year budget are each anticipated to exceed the original budget by $15,655. WHEREAS, total Grant Fund revenues and expenditures in the 2025-26 fiscal year budget are anticipated to exceed the original budget by $215,448 and $180,342, respectively. WHEREAS, total Auto Theft Program Fund revenues and expenditures in the 2025- 26 fiscal year budget are anticipated to exceed the original budget by $10,100 and $14,707, respectively. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. The findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. All provisions of the ordinances of the City of Paris, Texas in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed, and all other provisions of the ordinances of the City of Paris not in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall remain in full force and effect. Section 4. The repeal of any ordinance or part of ordinances affected by the enactment of this ordinance shall not be construed as abandoning any action now pending under or by virtue of such ordinance or as discontinuing, abating, modifying, or altering any penalty accruing or to accrue, or as affecting any rights of the municipality under any section or provisions of any ordinance at the time of passage of this ordinance. Section S. It is the intention of the City Council of the City of Paris that this ordinance, and every provision hereof, shall be considered severable, and the invalidity or partial invalidity of any section, clause, or provisions of this ordinance shall not affect the validity of any other portion of this ordinance. Section 6. That this ordinance shall become effective after its passage and Mlm PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of May, 2026.
