A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
TEXAS, AWARDING THE BID FOR MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT AUDIT
SERVICES FOR THE FISCAL YEARS ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2026,
2027, AND 2028.
WHEREAS, the City of Paris duly advertised and solicited bids for municipal
government audit services for fiscal years 2026, 2027, and 2028; and
WHEREAS, four (4) qualifying proposals were received and evaluated; and
WHEREAS, the contract for audit services will be for a three-year term with the option
to
renew for two additional years; and
WHEREAS, Forvis Mazars, LLP submitted the lowest bid. The firm has the
qualifications and experience levels that give the Finance Department an increased
level of assurance in their ability to properly perform the City's audit services. In
addition, the firm comes highly recommended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, TEXAS, THAT Forvis Mazars, LLP be awarded the contract for municipal
government audit services for Fiscal Years 2026, 2027, and 2028.
PASSED and APPROVED by majority vote of the City Council of the City of Paris,
Texas, this 27th day of July, 2026.
