1994-035-RES WHEREAS, VACANCY EXISTS ON CITY COUNCIL OCCASIONED BY RESIGNATION
RESOLUTION NO. 94. 035
WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the City Council of the City of Paris
occasioned by the resignation of Jim Bell, and it is appropriate that his successor be
timely appointed due to the urgency of City business requiring Council action; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, George Fisher, having submitted
the name of Eric S. Clifford, a bona fide resident of District 7 of the City of Paris,
a person who possesses all of the qualifications enumerated in Section 17 of the
Charter of the City of Paris to serve the unexpired term of Jim Bell, which ends May
8, 1995; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
that Eric S. Clifford be, and he is hereby appointed as Councilman for District 7 of
the City of Paris to serve the unexpired term of Jim Bell, which term ends May 8,
1995.
