1994-033-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL HAS CITIZENS IN VACINITY OF 3320 LAMAR AVE
RESOLUTION NO. 94-033
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has been requested by
citizens in the vicinity of 3320 Lamar Avenue, 725 7th Street N.W., and 1175 7th
Street N. W. to oppose the establishment of private clubs thereon; and,
WHEREAS, ecumenical activities are conducted in the vicinity of the several
locations, although not within the 300 foot rule; and,
WHEREAS, the repose of the several neighborhoods would be interfered with
by private club activities and the attending traffic and noise related thereto; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
to go on record as being opposed to the establishment of a private club at 725 7th
Street N.W.; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Mattie Cunningham, City Clerk of the
City of Paris be directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to the Texas Alcoholic
Beverage Control Commission offices at 2117 Loop, Paris, Texas 75460, and at
1600 West 38th Street, Austin, Texas 78731-6483.
