1994-005-RES WHEREAS, TEXAS DEPT OF DIVISION OF AVIATION, MANDATED THAT NEW LIGHTED SIGNS BE PLACED
RESOLUTION NO.
94-005
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation,
Division of Aviation, mandated that new lighted guidance
signs be placed on Runway 17/35 at Cox Field Airport,
and provides partial funding for the same; and,
WHEREAS, the City Counc i 1 of the City of Par i s deems
said project necessary for the safety of the aviation public
and the same shall be funded in the amount of ten percent
(10/0) of the total project cost estimated to be $7,505.00;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
that the Texas Department of Transportation, Divison of
A via t ion, pro j ec t for new 1 igh ted gu idance signs on Runway
17/35, Cox Field Airport, Par is, Texas, be and the same is
hereby approved; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Paris is hereby
committed to ten percent (10/0) of the total cost of the
project of said new lighted guidance signs estimated to be
$7,505.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that W. E. Anderson, Director of
Finance be, and is hereby authorized and directed to transmit
as directed by the Texas Department of Transportation,
Division of Aviation, ten percent (10%) of the total project
cost estimated to be $7,505.00.
BE I T FURTHER RESOLVED, tha t Ma t tie Cunn i ngham, City
Clerk is hereby directed to timely deliver a copy of this
Resolution to the Texas Department of Transportation,
Division of Aviation, P. O. Box 12607, Austin, TX 78711-2607,
Attention Ed Oshinski, Airport Facilities Engineer.
