<br />RESOLUTION NO. 98-053 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 9th day of <br />February, 1998, pass Resolution No. 98-018, which said Resolution was incorrect and requires <br />correction; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that <br />Resolution No. 98-018, be, and the same is hereby, amended so that such shall read as follows: <br /> <br />"WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City Council of the <br />City of Paris that there is a 20 foot alley running East and West, beginning at the <br />East Boundary Line of 6th Street S.E. going East a distance of approximately 615 <br />feet and ending at the West Boundary Line of 8th Street S.E. between Washington <br />Street and Hearon Street; and, <br /> <br />"WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City Council that the <br />alley is not desired by the property owners adjacent to said alley, but that said alley <br />is of use and necessary to the City of Paris and its citizens for drainage and utility <br />easement purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />"BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, that the Mayor, Eric S. Clifford, be, and he is hereby, authorized and <br />directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, a special warranty deed <br />conveying to the adjacent owners on either side of said 20 foot alley, in accordance <br />with the laws of the State of Texas, the City's interest in the closed alley located <br />between Washington Street and Hearon Street, beginning at the East Boundary Line <br />of 6th Street S.E. going East a distance of approximately 615 feet and ending at the <br />West Boundary Line of 8th Street S.E., it appearing that the real and true owners <br />of the hereinafter described lots are as follows: <br /> <br />"S. 50' Lots 1 & 2, Block 5, Gibbons 1st Add. <br />723 6th Street S.E. <br /> <br />Hansel Wells <br />723 6th Street S.E. <br />Paris, TX 75460 <br /> <br />"Lot 3, Block 5. Gibbons 1 st Addition <br />626 E. Hearon <br /> <br />Larry B. Melvin <br />Rt.2, Box 132 <br />Powderly, TX 75473 <br /> <br />"Lot 4, Block 5, Gibbons 1st Addition <br />638 E.
