1998-053-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL DID HERETOFORE ON THE 9TH DAY RESOLUTION NO. 98-053 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 9th day of February, 1998, pass Resolution No. 98-018, which said Resolution was incorrect and requires correction; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that Resolution No. 98-018, be, and the same is hereby, amended so that such shall read as follows: "WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City Council of the City of Paris that there is a 20 foot alley running East and West, beginning at the East Boundary Line of 6th Street S.E. going East a distance of approximately 615 feet and ending at the West Boundary Line of 8th Street S.E. between Washington Street and Hearon Street; and, "WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City Council that the alley is not desired by the property owners adjacent to said alley, but that said alley is of use and necessary to the City of Paris and its citizens for drainage and utility easement purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, "BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the Mayor, Eric S. Clifford, be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, a special warranty deed conveying to the adjacent owners on either side of said 20 foot alley, in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, the City's interest in the closed alley located between Washington Street and Hearon Street, beginning at the East Boundary Line of 6th Street S.E. going East a distance of approximately 615 feet and ending at the West Boundary Line of 8th Street S.E., it appearing that the real and true owners of the hereinafter described lots are as follows: "S. 50' Lots 1 & 2, Block 5, Gibbons 1st Add. 723 6th Street S.E.
